Swansea Print Workshop's status as a professional and community arts facility means that we maintain a high profile in the City of Swansea. Over the last ten years, SPW has become one of South Wales' foremost visual arts organisations. It is unique in Wales for providing resources and facilities to professional artists and the public alike and users from a wide variety of backgrounds make use of the workshop, including people from the local community, educational and business sectors.

Swansea Print Workshop endeavors to provide a wide variety of services and activities to members and non-members alike:

  • We hold ongoing life drawing classes twice weekly.

  • Open access sessions enable members supervised workshop access.

  • Our outreach programme makes printmaking available to schools, colleges and community groups outside the workshop.

  • The Printmakers Forum meets every month to discuss issues, ideas and processes and is open to all.

  • Our Volunteer Scheme enables interns to gain valuable experience and training in all aspects of the workshop and industry.

  • We provide a bespoke editioning service to artists and professionals.

  • Artists and speakers are regularly invited to talk to our members on a variety of subjects.

  • We provide a lively and interesting range of print related workshops and masterclasses.
