VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers carry out essential and varied work across the whole organisation. There are a range of roles for which we recruit volunteers including those in Administration, Event Organisation, Studio Management and our Outreach programme as well as opportunities at Directorate level.
Currently our Internship programme offers free training for young people ages 16-24
We particularly welcome volunteers who can specify and commit to a regular day(s) and number of hours so that we can plan our resources effectively.
We also happy to recruit volunteers who can be called on to help during peak times – for example during a large mailing, or at exhibition time – either with preparation, setting up and dismantling of exhibitions.
Swansea Print Workshop recognizes the important contribution all our Volunteers make and, as an organization reliant on funding for the majority of our income, we provide ‘In Kind’ payment to our Volunteers by:

Providing work experience within an Arts organisation environment

Providing studio time and access to printmaking facilities

Advising and assisting with CV

Advising and assisting with Artist statements

and portfolios

Providing training both In-house and on the job training as well as supporting any external training

Providing references where appropriate

Internships
Swansea Print Workshop offers internships for volunteers. This is a more formalised training opportunity for people wishing to gain experience of printmaking and the arts. The placements are awarded to suitable candidates for a negotiated term and are supported by our management structure so that trainees are regularly given guidance and the opportunity to review their progress.
