Swansea Print Workshop (SPW) is a fine art printmaking studio, run by a group of artists.

New Project
Swansea Print Workshop is launching a new project in March funded by the Arts Council of Wales. New Creative Dialogues supports the appointment of a Printmaker in Residence aimed at pursuing new areas of practice providing a public platform for printmaking.

The project will provide opportunities for members of the print workshop, the general public and community groups to become involved in a new area of printmaking.

Swansea Print Workshop has a strong track record of providing successful workshop for a wide variety of community groups. See our Projects section

If you are interested in applying for this post see opportunities and vacancies for full details and an application pack.

There is also a vacancy for an experienced administrator to act as Project Coordinator providing a full range of support for the Printmaker in Residence. See vacancies for full details and an application pack.

The Workshop
We produce original prints entirely by hand, the printmaking processes used include: linocut, woodcut, screenprinting, etching, aquatint, drypoint, collagraph and cyanotype. We also have photographic and digital facilities that contribute to printmaking processes such as photoscreenprint and photoetch.

Swansea Print Workshop provides a hub for fine art printmaking in South Wales.  It is a focus for contemporary print and a regional centre of excellence. All those who use our facilities or attend courses benefit from a wide range of access to facilities and opportunities to share and develop their creativity. Our members, and the professional artists who use the workshop, have a both broad and in depth knowledge and range of expertise and experience.

As a community arts provider, training and workshops are delivered to a wide range of ages, experience and abilities; from masterclasses for professional artists and inset training for teachers, to workshops for primary schools.

We curate exhibitions and develop international exchange projects; and also sell original prints on behalf of our members, associates and visiting artists.
