Background
Gill Day-Thomas born in Greenwich, London. Trained in Swansea in
Printmaking and Ceramics. In the early 80`s she moved to Germany to work
as a potter in ceramic studio.By the mid 80`s Gill returned to Swansea
and since then has exhibited and taught on adult education courses, in
schools and is full-time lecturer at Gorseinon College Swansea
Artist's Statement
During the past few years my enthusiasm and excitement for
printmaking has been fueled by having the privilege of working with
other printmakers. Also my passion for travelling and collecting visual
information on man-made creations,crumbling buildings,patterns in hand
made stone walls, carvings in wood and stone and my children growing
up.With all this inspiration, I enjoy the challenge of creating images
through exploration of materials and continuously expanding my knowledge
of techniques
