Background
Artist's Statement My daily routine at home includes cooking, cleaning, washing of dishes etc. When I am in my studio I cannot escape the thoughts of my undone jobs left at home and while I am at home I cannot resist thinking about my artwork: thus my work bridges home and studio. I use myself as a character type for the role of workingwomen. I see my everyday chores as rituals. The use of circular elements in my work represents the notion of repetition of day to day routine. For me, making art is an outlet of my daily routine. I see my artwork as a driving force that eliminates the boredom of my every day responsibilities. |
