Swansea Print Workshop fine art studio

Background
Arwen was born in Swansea in 1977, she spent 8 ½ years in London where she studied at the London College of Communication (London College of Printing). She returned to Swansea in 2008.

She gained a First Class Hons in Surface Design – Print Media at London College of Communication and carried out a Primary PGCE at Oxford Brookes.

Arwen currently teaches art at 2 Primary Schools in Swansea and delivers art education workshops to schools and adult weekend workshops at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.

Artist's Statement
I work through the medium of printmaking and textile art. It is a way of expressing my feelings and experiences and is influenced by life and the world around me - architecture, line, shape, form, colour, texture and pattern. An initial idea grows and develops as I begin drawing, cutting, stitching or printing.
