EXPOSURE UNIT
The UV Exposure Unit is central to all the photo-processing that is required in the studio. Its dimensions prescribe the maximum image size we are able to produce at the moment.It is used for processing photo stencil screens, cyanotype prints and photo etching plates.
It is essentially a light box with a UV light source and as such has to be used with care and within the strict health and safety guidelines. A wide variety of materials can be used to make an image, from ‘found’ materials to hand drawn or photographic sources.
Maximum screen size for direct photostencils: Size 52”x42”
The maximum screen size for the unit is 38" x 28".
The maximum image size for a cyanotype or photo-etching is 48" x 38".
As with any UV light this unit must be used under supervision and within strict health and safety guidelines.
