I, Me, Mine

View a collection of contemporary self portraits created through the medium of printmaking.
Opens 6.30pm on Monday 9th January 2012. Continues until Sunday 12th February 2012.

Kaleidoscope have raised funding for this project which provides young people with the chance to train and gain experience within the creative industries, allowing them to develop their artistic skills and consequently produce and exhibit work at a professional level. The project entitled I, Me, Mine, allowed participants to express themselves through drawings, collages and prints. So why not visit the exhibition this January to explore the work of talented and creative group of adolescents. Everyone is welcome.
Kaleidoscope is a youth led voluntary arts group, consists of six artists each of whom gave a day each of their week to offer art workshops to 16-25 year olds in Swansea. Kaleidoscope is a youth-led voluntary arts organisation whose mission is to involve new generations in contemporary art as well as bringing the community together through an artistic process.
Kaleidoscope would like to thanks the funders of the project, Swansea Youth Bank who made this project possible together with Swansea Print Workshop for their continued support.
Project coordinated by Kara Seaman. Kaleidoscope members include Luke Bolch, Rosie Hughes, Joyce Li, Carly Llewellyn, Matthew Otten and Amy Treharne.

Members Annual Exhibition November 2011- January 6th 2012
this year for the first time the exhibition was held at the studios in Clarence Street. A considerable amount of work has been done to improve the exhibiting areas - thanks to Alan Figg, Carys Roberts, Kara Seaman, Sarah Jackman, Shirley Gwyther and Jackie Ford for the time and effort that went into effecting these changes.

IMPORT/ EXPORT exhibition opened by Robert Macdonald on Tuesday August 9th in the Drawing Room at 19a Clarence Street.

Swansea Print Workshop supports a regular exhibition programme for members and professional artists. We have held an annual exhibition of members selected work at the Arts Wing, Swansea Grand Theatre since 2004.
We also exhibit project work such as the Changing Swansea project and the Festival of Muslim Cultures Project.
In addition we look for opportunities for members to exhibit further afield and we held three successful International exhibitions. See members section and opportunities for current information
The Contemporary Welsh Printmakers exhibition was open to all Welsh/ Residents in Wales Printmakers. This was the reciprocal exhibition for the Contemporary Pakistani Printmakers exhibition held in Swansea and Lancaster in 2006. The Wales based work was shown in Pakistan in the VM Gallery in Karachi, the Alhambra Arts Centre in Lahore, and the Arts Wing, Grand Theatre, Swansea.

‘especially when the october wind’: TWELVE PRINTMAKERS: Dylan Thomas Prints was shown in Islamabad at the same time.
‘51.34 North 1.46 West’, the first Group Show from the Workshop to be seen internationally was open to our Full members. The exhibition was shown in Islamabad and Lahore.
