The projects’ aim was to target people who attend community centres, who specifically suffer with mental health problems and was developed to explore personal and cultural identity. It ran over the summer months - for 8 weeks of 4 hour photography sessions.
“Mental health is either ignored, or invisible in society and the theme of the mirror was set to challenge this. The project was split into two sections to enable the partcipants to challenge invisibility both collectively and personally. Visits were made to galleries and into the town using mirrors as a tool to explore their ideas. The mirrors were then used to explore more personal themes”
