Russell Commission Youth Volunteering Grant: “Opportunities” Swansea Print workshop’s Internship program offers a closer look inside our organisation as a small, friendly artists’ studio specialising in Printmaking and gives participants the opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of our activities: Arts Practice Participants will gain an understanding of what is required to set up and run successful workshops for a wide client group. Printmaking workshops in cyanotype, collagraph, or photo screenprinting will be offered to facilitate the production of original art work within a professional environment. Arts Administration. Participants may be more interested in gaining arts administration experience in events management such as exhibitions and artist’s talks, marketing and publicity, website development and any other tasks that contribute to the running of our organisation. This is a remarkable opportunity to take advantage of some free training and find out how useful volunteering can be to your career and future employers. The Welsh Assembly has made funding available to implement the recommendations of the Russell Commission. Recommendation Seven of the Russell Commission report stated that there “should be a step change in the number of young people volunteering and the diversity of volunteers”. Priority young people The Opportunities grants scheme also aims to prioritise delivery of opportunities with and for the diverse range of young people (16-25). |
