Through the auspices of the Artes Mundi trustees, and a collaboration with AWEMA we were able to mount printmaking workshops in Swansea and bring artist Aleem Dad Khan from Pakistan to work on the project in November 2006.

Artes Mundi is a unique platform for visual culture from around the world and celebrates artists whose work adds to our understanding of humanity. Artes Mundi comprises a major exhibition at the National Museum Cardiff, a series of television documentaries in partnership with BBC Wales, a fund of £30,000 to enable works by some of the shortlisted artists to be purchased for the National Collections of Wales, the £40,000 Artes Mundi Prize and a lively public event and education programme including an international conference. The next Artes Mundi exhibition will take place at the National Museum Cardiff in 2008.
