Artists in Residence
As part of our programme, we formally invited two artists from Pakistan, Atif Khan and Aleem Khan to join us as Artists in Residence for a period of 12 weeks to assist us in our understanding of Islamic Art through printmaking.
As Resident Artists, Atif and Aleem delivered a series of workshops and masterclasses to professional printmakers, our Outreach Team and the wider community on the theme of 'Image, Symbol and Text'.
In exchange for their contribution to this programme, Swansea Print Workshop provided them with support and the opportunity to develop their personal work in a well equipped printmaking workshop.
Aleem has since returned to support Swansea Print Workshop in the development of international links with communities in Pakistan.
